About the program

Night Rating - HELI

The Helicopter Night Rating takes flying helicopters to the next level.

Learn the skills and techniques to make you shine bright in the hours of darkness.

​

The course consists of 10 hours of night flight, learning about Heliport Lighting, cockpit lighting, pre-flight inspections, psychological effects, and the visual cues of flying at night. Students will also have the ability to perform cross country night flights, approaches, departures and learn/perform the required simulated emergencies as part of the rating.

​

Also required to convert to a FAA Foreign Licence.

  • 10 hours of Instrument Time (Pilots may use previously acquired Instrument time)

  • Minimum 5 hours dual night hours

  • Minimum 5 hours solo night hours
