
About the program
Helicopter CPL Conversion Course
For those who hold an Australian Commercial Helicopter License and wish to convert to a Canadian Commercial Helicopter License.
The course generally takes between 2-10 hours of flight time depending on skill level and can be completed within two weeks.

Admission Requirements

Students must already have or complete 80 hours of ground school and 100 hours of flight time with their Australian License including:

55 dual flight hours
-
35 solo flight hours
-
5 dual cross-country flight hours
-
10 solo cross country flight hours
-
10 hours instrument time
-
1 flight lasting a minimum of 2 hours with a minimum of 3 stops.

Program Requirements

Upon arriving to Canada and after meeting the conditions above students must pass a full written CPHEL test and a commercial flight test.

Students will need approximately 2-10 hours of flight training to be ready for their flight test depending on their individual skill level.

It is recommended that students spend time studying and taking practice exams to prepare for the CPHEL written exam.
